Last November 2021, Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has launched the mini 4-stroke (M4) engine in the Philippine market with the aim of capturing the small displacement engine segment.
Currently, it has been observed that more Filipinos are using brush cutters, trimmers, scooters, small agriculture machines, and machines for light construction – most of which are powered by small displacement engines. This market movement stimulated the interest of local Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) who wanted to capitalize on this demand. Continuous fuel price hikes and growing environmental concerns over 2-stroke engines are also factors in the increasing popularity of 4-stroke engines.
The Honda M4 engine comes in three (3) variants:
GX25 (1.0hp, net power); GX35 (1.3hp, net power); and GX50 (2.0hp, net power) to ensure that end-users will have a wide array of options for every possible usage and application.

2. 360-degree operation – unique feature enabling it to operate at any position or in any engine angle without shutting down.
3 . Easy to start – uses a decompression mechanism which makes the recoil pull load light and easy to start.
4 . Safe and User friendly – Honda 4-stroke engines do not produce disturbing high frequency sound, but generates exhaustion sounds friendly to ears. Clean exhaust gas not harmful to operator and Muffler has guard to protect operator from possible hot surface area burn.
